Whether you are looking to gather 100 people for a celebration & dance party into the night, or to say your vows in front of a few friends & family followed by an intimate family style dinner, we are honored to play host to your wedding.
We only host one wedding per weekend. When you book with us, our home is your home.

*A full buyout of the property with a two-night minimum stay is required of all weddings.

We also host all types of wedding-related gatherings, from engagement parties and bridal showers, to morning-after brunches, and rehearsal dinners, or we can act as a sophisticated and luxurious location for small bachelor/ette getaways.
Catering with Integrity
The Bread House & Granary is the exclusive food & beverage partner for all of our events. We offer full-service catering featuring a seasonally-evolving farm-to-table menu, highlighting the bounty of our region. Our chef partners with local farmers and artisans to choose ingredients of the highest quality, and integrates locally-grown fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs into our wholesome, healthy dishes.

We are thrilled to offer thoughtfully curated bar packages featuring custom cocktails, along with zero-proof spins on the classics. We offer three types of packages to fit all sizes and style of event.

What's your capacity?
The Whittlesey House welcomes you to celebrate your wedding weekend with us! We host intimate weddings for your closest friends and family, and large, lavish affairs with live music and dancing. Our maximum capacity for events taking place solely inside The Whittlesey House is 40 guests, while weddings utilizing The Whittlesey Lawn & Patio may accommodate up to 120.
Where do weddings at The Whittlesey House take place?
Weddings take place in our outdoor sanctuary, The Whittlesey Lawn & Patio. We will gladly walk you through our ideas for your onsite ceremony, and we are also happy to hear yours! For larger weddings, we recommend tenting the lawn and installing a dance floor. Our historic home may also be utilized for cocktail hour, as a luxurious respite for you to escape for a quiet moment, hair & make-up touch-ups, or for photography.
Are tents required?
We do not require tents, although please note the maximum number of guests permitted inside the house at one time is 40. You are required to confirm whether or not you will be installing a tent on The Whittlesey Lawn for your event no later than 72 hours prior to your event date. We do not provide refunds due to rain or other inclement weather.
Do you allow outside food & beverage?
No outside catering or alcohol is permitted. We are pleased to offer several bar package options tailored to your event needs. The Bread House & Granary, located right next door, is our exclusive catering partner.
Are there any other restrictions on the vendors I can use?
You may use the vendors of your choice for all other services. Please request our list of preferred vendors who we trust to provide excellent service.
