BOOK YOUR NEXT EVENT AT THE WHITTLESEY HOUSE
Host a small group for cocktail hour in our Salon, followed by a seated dinner in the Dining Room. Invite your guests to wander throughout the historic home during a floating reception, with grazing stations set on the Porch, passed appetizers on the Veranda, and a bar with a live band on the Whittlesey Lawn. Toast the bride-to-be over a brunch spread in the Kitchen, followed by games in the Parlour. Whatever the nature of your event, our staff is delighted to work with you to ensure it is a seamless and memorable one.

Full-Day Rentals: Exclusive use of the full ground floor of the furnished home and The Whittlesey Lawn & Patio; 12-hour access to the venue 9am and 12am the day of your rental
Partial Day Rentals: Use of the full ground floor of the furnished home between the hours of 9am - 3pm or 4pm - 12am to accommodate daytime or evening events.
Over 5,000 sq ft of generous outdoor space, including lush gardens, a gazebo and elevated stone-tiled patio with lighting features including up-lighting and string lights. For partial day rentals, use of the lawn incurs an additional fee.
Dimmable lighting throughout the house and gardens
Three elegantly appointed guest suites on the second floor to accommodate overnight stays for up to six (6) guests may be added on at an additional fee

We also provide an elevated environment for your team to come together and get away from the distractions of the office. Whether you are brainstorming for a product launch, presenting to a client, or workshopping a new idea, we offer a range of meeting spaces to keep your group happy and productive.
MEETINGS AT THE WHITTLESEY HOUSE
Our most formal meeting space is set in the Dining Room of the house which seats up to twelve (12) around a large central table with four (4) additional stools at the high top counter. We also offer less formal meeting space for more conversational sessions in our luxuriously appointed Salon and Parlour rooms. All three spaces have gas fireplaces to create a cozy atmosphere in the cooler months.

The Bread House & Granary is the exclusive food & beverage partner for The Whittlesey House. The Bread House offers a wide variety of menu options for your daytime meetings including breakfast spreads, baked goods, sandwiches on house baked bread, salads, soups and more. They also offer more formal catered and private chef dining options for your evening affairs.
CUSTOM BEVERAGE PACKAGES
From fresh juices to delicious coffee, we are pleased to offer an array of daytime beverages for your meeting or event. Our Gatherings Bar Packages for under 20 guests allow for guests to craft their own custom cocktails, adding to the event experience. For larger events, we offer thoughtfully curated bar packages featuring beer, wine, and premium cocktails, along with zero-proof spins on the classics.

WELLNESS CLASSES
One hour yoga or barre class on The Whittlesey Lawn hosted by 229 Yoga, perfect as a team building experience, or relaxing wedding morning activity. The class is transferable to a private indoor yoga studio in case of rain.

ART CLASSES
Two hour private painting class with Brush Strokes and Buzzed Folks, includes all materials along with drinks and snacks. 10 person minimum. Fun for a corporate retreat or bachelorette party!

BAKING CLASSES
Learn to make cinnamon rolls or decorate cookies alongside Melissa Strother of M.B. Strother Designs. This two hour baking class includes ingredients, drinks and snacks. Six person minimum / 12 person maximum.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are your rates & availability?
The Whittlesey House has a variety of spaces available depending on the needs of your group. We only allow one gathering in our venue at a time.
You may reserve the space for a full day or a partial day. A full day rental gives you 12-hour exclusive access to the property. Use is permitted between the hours of 9 am and 12 am.
Partial day rentals are priced at an hourly rate and may be between the hours of 9 am - 3 pm or between the hours of 4 pm - 12 am. Partial day rentals require a 3 hour minimum (up to 6 hours). Partial day rentals are available Sunday - Friday. Saturdays are reserved for full day rentals only with the exception of December through March when partial day rentals are permitted.
Is the Whittlesey House Lawn & Patio included in the rental?
Use of the lawn behind The Whittlesey House to host a gathering is included in the rental rate for full day use of the property and may be added at an additional fee to partial day rentals. Why not kick off a corporate meeting with a morning yoga class, or offer lunch al fresco to your attendees?
Do you have a sound system?
Yes! There areer mounted integrated speakers that connect to a central sound system throughout the ground floor of the house and outside on the Porch. Spotify is available, as are inputs to play your own playlist. The system requires use of the Yamaha app to connect. Each room has individual volume controls. All televisions in the house are smart TVs with the Spotify app that can play music as well.
For events taking place on the lawn and patio, you are welcome to bring in a sound system for your band or DJ. Volume of music must comply with local city ordinance.
Where do my guests park?
We share a parking lot with the Bread House & Granary, located immediately next to the building. The lot has space for up to 60 vehicles and is first come, first served. We have an additional overflow parking lot that accommodates approximately 60 vehicles.
Do you have a Kitchen?
Our gorgeous large catering kitchen has a central oversized island, farm sink, refrigerator with a freezer drawer, microwave and coffee maker with assorted coffees. A second smaller island has dining space with 4 stools and a dedicated ice maker. You are welcome to access them all while you are here. The kitchen comes equipped with a double gas oven and dishwasher that are reserved for use by our staff and private chef only.
The kitchen is also a GREAT spot to host a baking class as an activity for your group!
